KGC believes that there is a dormant abundance in the world that can be unleashed through the collaborative efforts of people who live their lives with an. Two of the students whose experiences are explored as individual cases are Mechanical Engineering majors and one is a Mechanical Engineering: Product Design major. Other projects include EPIC Global Challenge and Peace Markets. ZDP project at Kozmetsky Global Collaboratory Stanford Center for Getting Things Started is a field site of the Zero Degree Project at Kozmetsky Global Collaboratory Stanford, Palo Alto CA. The research setting of the global engineering program for each of the three cases examined was the Kozmetsky Global Collaboratory (KGC) at Stanford University. It was funded by George Kozmetsky, founder of Teledyne. Mark’s mission is to create an entire new, profitable industry, where positive peace is delivered as a service. Global Collaboratory Syed Shariq is director of the Kozmetsky Global Collabortory at Stanford. He leads the Global OPEN Social Sensor Array project, and designs technology interventions to measurably increase positive, mutually beneficial engagement across conflict boundaries. One approach pioneered by the Kozmetsky Global Collaboratory (KGC) at Stanford University starts by fostering long-term collaborations between these marginalized communities and the scholars and students who want to work with them. Former relief-worker, investment banker, and social entrepreneur, Mark Nelson founded and co-directs Stanford Peace Innovation Lab, where he researches mass collaboration and mass interpersonal persuasion.
